ReKna - Recherche und Vergleich von Kriterien für eine nachhaltige Lebensmittel- und Speisenauswahl in Großküchen

Mit dem ersten Klimaschutzprogramm wurde für Einrichtungen der Stadt Wien ein Bio-Anteil von mindestens 30 % als Zielwert festgeschrieben. Im Klimaschutzprogramm Wien KliP II (2010-2020) werden weitere Kriterien vorgegeben, mit deren Hilfe die durch die Beschaffung von Lebensmitteln durch Einrichtungen der Stadt Wien verursachten Treibhausgasemissionen weiter vermindert werden sollen. Aus diesem Grund wird mittels Literaturrecherche erfasst, wie andere Institutionen mit dem Thema umgehen und ob und welche Kriterien der Lebensmittel- und Speisenauswahl verwendet werden.

Urban Mining im Abfallrecht

Ziel ist es, basierend auf der Kategorisierung und Abschätzung des zukünftig zur Verfügung stehenden Potenzials im anthropogenen Lager die relevantesten Steuerungsmöglichkeiten insbesondere im Abfall-, Umwelt- und Anlagenrecht zu lokalisieren. Es werden Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten und die Schaffung von Erleichterungen beim Vorhaben des „Urban Mining“ insbesondere für massemäßig und ökonomisch relevante Abfälle dargestellt.

VESPE - Analyse von Speisenabfällen

Im LKH-Univ.Klinikum Graz werden durch die Frischkostküche jährlich Mahlzeiten im Gegenwert rund 1 Mio. Verpflegstage (VT) zubereitet. Die Hälfte dieser Mahlzeiten (56 %) wird für die Patienten tablettiert, die bei Normalkost täglich aus drei Menüs auswählen können. Nicht ganz ein Viertel (23 %) wird im Schöpfsystem in den beiden Speisesälen an das Personal verkauft. Die MitarbeiterInnen können täglich zwischen zwei, fallweise auch drei Menüs, Salatbuffet und div. kleinen Speisen und Snacks in der Cafeteria wählen.

Little Foot Villach 01 - the ecological footprint of pupils

The goal of the project is to teach pupils of the 6th form in Villach the ecological footprint, thus preparing for future challenges like energy efficiency, resource management, biodiversity, climate and environemt protection, etc. The children should be encouraged to a suistainable consumption and a gentle handling with nature. Furthermore the project should stimulate the pupils to communicate their knowledge and ideas to their surroundings.

VIsion 2050 - Smart City Villach

Project goal

The main goal of this project is to form a consortium of stakeholders and to develop a common vision of Villach as a smart city. Central to this process will be a sequence of stakeholder workshops. The outcome of the workshops will be transferred into strategy documents, implementation plans and binding agreements between stakeholders.

City Dialog - Dialog about the "City of the Future"

Project goal

The goal of the project "City Dialog" was the evaluation of future research topics for the “city of the future”. Several studies and research projects have yet investigated relevant research topics for the “city of the future”. The setting of priorities in these studies, mainly reflects a science perspective. Goal of the project was to complete and contrast the scientific perspective with the perspective of other relevant stakeholders.

Project goal

The goal is the revision of the "naubau Fibel" published in 2006. The Fibel from 2006 has been updated and new parts, like the "klima:aktiv Gebäudestandard" have been added. In addition an extensive picture research has been carried out. Many pictures of best practice projects have been provided by Carinthian building experts. The Layout has been made by "Prosign Klaus Hadler".

UMBESA - Sustainable diet

The goal of the project is to support canteen kitchens in the increased use of regional, seasonal and biological food and freshly made dishes. Furthermore the serving size should be optimized - especially the one of meat - and selected convenience products should be replaced by freshly food. Thus not only the climate will be protected but also the preparation of healthy dishes will be promoted.
